Description
In the field of electrical energy supply, it is common practice to test, evaluate and validate developed methods using standardized benchmark grids. However, these benchmark grids often only represent synthetic grid structures based on real power distribution requirements. Especially with regards to the integration of innovative resources and renewable energies they are often not up-to-date and are therefore strongly adapted to answer current research questions. This procedure is permissible, but in reference to the original source, the changes made are often only briefly described in publications. A comparability or even reproducibility of results is therefore rarely possible due to deviations in the input data. In order to avoid this problem in future publications at the Department of Electrical Power Supply of the Institute of Electrical Power Systems and to maintain good scientific practice, the input data used in each case are published in this collection of grid data sets. A special feature is the planned publication and the uniform description of multi voltage level-spanning integrated transmission and distribution grid models (maximum voltage level to low voltage level) consisting of a variety of nodes, transmission elements and a high integration of renewables.
