Description

The Metropolis Nonformal: Anticipation Symposium was organized by UN-Habitat through the Habitat Partner Universities Initiative (HPUI), in collaboration with the host, TU Munich. The symposium was a follow-up to an earlier one held in October 2011, with the theme: ‘Land - scape, Urbanism and Infrastructure in the Global South’. The symposium curator was ChristianWerthmann of Leibniz Universität Hannover, who is also a Hans Fischer Senior Fellow at TU Munich. The intention of the symposium was to explore anticipatory strategies that actively integratethe entrepreneurial capacity and intelligence of low-income migrants in the development of future urban growth.
