With drawings and models the exhibition BEAUTIFUL LOSERS aims to retrace how twelve buildings of post-war Hannover were lost over the years. In order to shift the debate from sentimental attachment and personal memory to architecture's adaptability, X-ray graphics show the buildings as anonymous structures and strip them from the patina of their history. The discovered potential however is of abstract notion. All twelve houses have been demolished; often shortly after construction. The exhibited content thus tries to fuel a general debate on a building's lifespan, the act of demolition and the beauty of Hannover's losers.
