Abstract
To ensure an economic milling of large structural components made of titanium for the aerospace industry, in this technical paper two approaches to compensate the distortions of these components due to residual stresses are presented. Currently, a time-consuming and intensive clamping of these components is necessary to comply with the tolerances. With the help of an adaptive clamping system and an adapted NC-track the residual stress induced component distortions should be compensated automatically.
