Abstract

From July 14th-16th,2012 ajoint measurement campaign was conducted at the Ems barrage in Gandersum, Germany,by The Lower Saxon State Department for Water, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN), the Water and Shipping Authority (WSA) Emden and the Franzius-Institute for Hydraulic, Waterways and Coastal Engineering (FI). Both, moored and mobile measurements were carried out. Measurement results of mobile 3D-current velocities by Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP),complemented by a conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD) sensor for vertical profiling are presented here. Results support the calibration and development of a hydro numerical model by the NLWKN.
