Abstract
In multi-site assembly, problems such as defective tools require assembly control to be able to react promptly and avoid negative consequences such as deferred deliveries or additional costs. A method is presented using statistical online simulation based on structured assembly plans to quickly identify and evaluate possible options for dealing with a problem. Furthermore, this article presents the structure and procedure of a purpose-built simulation system.
