Abstract
The ability of modern robotic systems to interact collaboratively with humans in a work system results in a multitude of potentials, such as the reduction of assembly times, the support of employees in order to maintain their physical working capacity, or the increase in capacity flexibility as a result of the appropriate use of such systems. Obstacles to the introduction of collaborative assembly systems are the associated high planning effort as well as the fundamental question of the acceptance by the user. This article shows in which ways companies can be supported in planning and integrating collaborative assembly systems.
