Abstract

In the area of high speed machining linear direct drives are used more frequently. However new machine concepts are reaching the dynamic limits of direct drives. In the combination with additional actuators as hybrid drive the dynamic positioning accuracy can be increased. In this paper the development, control and possibilities of these redundant drive concepts are presented.
