N2 - The authors introduce an index of a holomorphic 1-form on an isolated complete intersection singular point as the degree of a certain map, and give (without proof) an algebraic formula for the index, which expresses it as the codimension of some ideal in the ring of germs of holomorphic functions at the given singular point. For the case of an exact 1-form the formula was found by G.-M. Greuel [Math. Ann. 214, 235–266 (1975; Zbl 0285.14002)].
