Abstract
We demonstrate an ultra-broadband OPA centered at ~6 μm, pumped by a 2.1-μm OPCPA, with an octave-spanning idler bandwidth from 4.3 μm to 9.0 μm. 31-fs, 1.5-cycle pulses could be generated without any additional compression.
