Based on dialogic and interactionist approaches, the Hanover Model of the Combined Stuttering Therapy in the summer camp for stuttering adolescents and young adults is be introduced. Speech and communicative diversity is seen as important and essential for the conditions of learning in speech therapy. The perspective of diversity in speech therapy goes beyond traditional approaches. It can open new perspectives for the analysis and practice of therapy and everyday life. Therefore, this approach also may well contribute to the debate on professionalism of speech language pathologists and research in this discipline. A study revealed treatment effects and mixed views of the individuals and their dialogue partner. This was followed by an intervention study with three assessments, one before, one assessment after therapy and one follow-up and three types of measurement: 1. videotaped speech situations, 2. questionnaires for the participants and their reference person, and 3. videotaped interviews. Results show significant reductions in the severity of stuttering and stuttering frequency. Follow-up results, all questionnaires and the content-analytical results also indicate clear improvements and change strategies and factors following by the Summer Camp.
