Abstract
Microfunctional structures like riblets can reduce the turbulence drag on the surface of blades by 10%. To manufacture the defined groove geometry of riblets with a height of 20 μm and a width of 40 μm, grinding processes are applied. Via the dressing process defined microprofiles will be generated on a vitrified grinding wheel. By the following profile grinding process riblets can be applied onto the surface of steel workpieces.
