Abstract
Frequency Response Analysis (FRA) measurements on a transformer is an effective method to detect deformation of the windings. Various publications have attempted to use this method in different ways to detect or localize the deformation. Some of them have tried to obtain a detailed model of the winding using the FRA measurement to assess the deformation. On the other hand, the detailed model could also be used for finding the sectional winding transfer functions (SWTFs), which were needed for electrical PD localization methods. Although for both applications the detailed model of windings is necessary, the influence of different parameters of the detailed model on FRA measurements could be different and their importance are not same. There are various connections for FRA measurements, which are more sensitive to some specific parameters. Hence, a comprehensive study on the sensitivity of different parameters of the transformer detailed model is conducted in this contribution.
