The scientific level of the presentations and of the papers in the Proceedings — available from the Guest Editor — was very high. Moreover the participants could enjoy an interesting social program with a town walk, a mining tour, an official Workshop banquet and a hike to the famous mountain Brocken (Blocksberg in Johann Wolfgang Goethe{\textquoteright}s drama Faust).
