Abstract
In this article new methods for the control of industrial bioprocesses will be discussed. Beside the use of biosensor systems for the control of chromatographic downstream processes and the application of optical bioanalytical devices, general strategies for bioprocess control and analysis will be presented. Nowadays, not only hardware sensors are used in industry but also innovative software sensors. Some of these systems will be discussed.
