Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) The heat is on! Ferromagnetic materials heated by induction in an electromagnetic field have found synthetic application. Best results were obtained when superparamagnetic nanoparticles coated with SiO2 were incorporated in a microfluidic reactor and transformations were performed under flow conditions. These magnetic particles can be doped with Pd and used as heated heterogeneous catalysts.
