Abstract
An experimental study of the solubility of Mg in haplogranitic melts has been undertaken. The investigated pressure and temperature were 3 kbar and 775°C. In all run products melts coexist with phlogopite. Less than 0.15 wt% MgO is incorporated in subaluminous melts (melts without normative corundum). In contrast, peraluminous melts (melts with 2.7 to 2.9% normative corundum) contain 0.6 to 0.7 wt% MgO. The structure of peraluminous silicate melts is discussed in the light of the experimental data. There is an abridged English version. -English summary
