Abstract

This study presents a seismic full-waveform inversion approach using orthogonally shear waves to image glacial sediments in a transmission geometry. Starting from a homogeneous model and using frequencies between 80 and 250 Hz in a multi-stage approach, we obtain high-resolution subsurface models. Despite the identical workflow, the resulting models exhibit different structural features, yet they align with the lithology provided by core information at their respective resolution power.
