Abstract

Induction heating is an innovative method to heat thin metal strips. This technology offers besides high efficiency and high power density a lot of advantages against conventional heaters. Especially the transverse flux induction heating (TFH) has a big potential. New developed installation concepts provide big flexibility and are very interesting for modern production shops with small lots and permanent changing production parameters.
