Abstract

A finite element method is presented, which allows to determine power frequency two dimensional field distributions including arbitrary hysteresis processes. The method employs an implicit time discretisation that helps to avoid stability restrictions and therefore permits a high resolution in space. Numerical tests were carried out, which proved the method to be very efficient. )
