Abstract

Factory structures should meet the requirements of the future business environment. Existing methods for structuring exhibit two substantial weaknesses. First, existing methods only focus on process planning, although process adaptions would require an adaption of the organizational structure. Second, methods do not imply an evaluation of the structure variants developed regarding their fulfillment of corporate goals to support a selection. To solve these problems, a methodology is presented in this contribution.
