Abstract

The increasing number of different products and variants - caused by the individualization of the customer requirements - exerts a significant pressure on the manufacturing enterprises. On the other hand, companies are given a variety of process chains in order to produce the customized products. Under the given constraints manufacturing enterprises have to identify the process chain which enables them to produce the required product best with regard to their target values. For this purpose was developed a method for an extended evaluation of process chains within the research project kolas "flexible manufacturing cell for the combined laser machining with adaptive gripper technology". This approach will be shown in this paper.
