Abstract
The comparison of large eddy simulations with the turbulence measurements at LITFASS-2003 was analyzed. It was observed that large eddy simulations compare well with the measurements of two days of the LITFASS-2003 experiments. The mesoscale effect was greater for the latent heat flux than for the sensible heat flux. The mesoscale flux incorporates no additional transport, but reduces the turbulent transport.
