Abstract
Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converters offer highly efficient conversion of DC-Currents and voltages especially in the range of the transformer turns ratio. At voltage ratios different from the transformer ratio, the peak currents increase. To protect semiconductors from overcurrent and the transformer from saturation, the proposed paper presents a method to limit the peak current.
