N2 - E-learning accessibility is a well studied topic that aims at making online educational resources accessible for everyone, including disabled users. The focus of these efforts is mainly on making content consumption more accessible while content creation is often neglected. This means that the perspectives of disabled users are not accommodated and that full inclusiveness cannot be reached. In this work we introduce a novel interface to author educational content, in particular presentation slides. This interface is specifically designed for visually impaired and blind users. The interface is implemented in the OpenCourseWare platform SlideWiki. Instead of the default visual WYSIWYG interface, the alternative editor uses the lightweight markup language Markdown to support content authoring.
