Abstract
This chapter aims to reflect on the China-related research published in the broad field of human geography, with an emphasis on the sub-discipline of economic geography. It mainly acknowledges the work published in monographs, special issues, seminal articles and chapters, without assessing this literature in a comprehensive and systematic way. The focus is instead on publications and lines of research and thinking in connection with the term “Global China.” The chapter discusses the origins and characteristics of important lines of research, touching on the terms that shaped geographers’ work on China.
