Abstract

Due to the very high strength and durability of ultra-high-performance fibre-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC), this material can be used to build extremely resource-efficient and sustainable structures. As the quality requirements for UHPFRC are high, these structures usually have to be prefabricated and later assembled on site. In modular precast element constructions with dry joints, the load-bearing capacity of the joints is essential. Previous calculation approaches describing the load-bearing behaviour of dry joints are mainly based on a few test results. Therefore, available tests were compiled in a database, the accuracy of the approaches was analysed and a modified approach was developed.
