Abstract
Companies need to provide a sufficient amount of changeability within their production system in the rapidly changing environment. Therefore, a systematic method is required to evaluate and design the changeability. This article presents a method to evaluate the actual changeability of a production system and to design the changeability based on future development. Moreover, a taxonomy allows the synchronization of operators and outfitters concerning new solutions.
