Abstract
Hip and knee prostheses are very complex products with high quality standards. In the research project "Optical geometry acquisition of medical implants and prostheses", methods for the two and three dimensional quality assurance are investigated. The two-dimensional measurement checks the quality of the surface. The three-dimensional enables a new examination method, the Model-based-RSA, as well as a control of the dimensional accuracy.
