Abstract

Superb intrinsic frequency and amplitude stability has made the diode-pumped monolithic solid-state Nd:YAG ring lasers to be used for the gravitational wave detector GEO 600. GEO 600 requires a system surpassing the frequency and amplitude stability of the free-running system by many orders of magnitude. A detailed description of the stabilization schemes was presented for amplitude stabilization in the gravitational wave detector.
