Abstract

The use of simulation models for production planning is made more difficult by time-, personnel- and cost-intensive model maintenance. The targeted use of machine data can counteract this problem. Therefore, in this paper, a method for the automated integration of machine data into adaptive simulation models is presented. This creates a digital shadow of production that adapts to the real production system situationally.
